Councilor Jhonny Young is considering crafting a measure that will prohibit the “excessive” public display of affection (PDA) in Iloilo City.
There are acts of physical intimacy, according to the councilor, that are inappropriate and should not be allowed in public places.
“Ang decency sa atun nga syudad i-observe ta,” said Young, who serves as chairman of the committee on moral recovery.
One of the intimate acts that the local lawmaker wants to ban is torrid kissing.
Young filed a resolution seeking to conduct an investigation in aid of legislation on a viral video of a girl kissing a boy in a bar in Mandurriao district.
His resolution, however, was scrapped after it failed to get the support of his City Council colleagues.IMT
