A West Visayas State University (WVSU) professor topped the latest Guidance Counselor Licensure Examination (GCLE).
Dr. Ryan Michael Flores Oducado, a resident of Sapian, Capiz, ranked first with a rating of 89.25 percent.
This was not the first time that Oducado was part of the topnotchers list for a board exam. In 2014, Oducado got the second-highest score in the Midwifery Licensure Examination.
Oducando currently serves as director of the WVSU University Research and Development Center and an assistant professor at the College of Nursing.
He earned his doctorate degree in Education major in Psychology and Guidance at the university’s College of Education.
Meanwhile, Julie Jane Romero Pagcaliwanagan, an alumna of the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV), ranked seventh in GCLE with a rating of 88.30 percent.
A total of 405 out of 661 examinees passed the exam conducted in the cities of Manila, Cagayan de Oro, and Cebu form August 17 to 18 this year.
