West Visayas State University (WVSU) in La Paz, Iloilo City emerged as one of the top performing schools in the October 2022 Physician Licensure Examination (PLE).
With a passing rate of 89.19 percent, WVSU ranked eighth. Of its 111 graduates, 99 passed the board exam conducted on Oct. 21-22.
Of those who passed, 97 were first timers and two were repeaters.
Meanwhile, Mark Arlo Hernandez Segundo, a WVSU alumnus, landed on the fifth spot after garnering an average rating of 87.68 percent.
The top spot was clinched by Justin Adriel Zent Gautier Togonon, an Ilonggo who graduated from the University of the Philippines (UP-Manila). He scored 89 percent.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) early Thursday morning, Nov. 10. A total of 3,826 out of 5,958 successfully hurdled the PLE.IMT
