Tickets for the Dinagyang 2020 tribes competition will be on sale starting Dec. 9.
Allan Tan, tickets and stages in-charge, said some 3, 600 tickets would be made available for those who are interested to watch the festival’s highlight.
According to him, ticket prices range from P1,500 to P2,200.
Tan said the Iloilo Festivals Foundations Inc. (IFFI) will partner with hotels and tour operators accredited by the Department of Tourism (DOT-6)- for the ticket selling.
“Para hapos sa aton mga locals and tourists nga mag avail sang tickets,” he explained.
Tapping the DOT-accredited establishments, Tan said, can minimize bulk-buying of tickets and resell them at higher prices.
“Out hotels here can package the tickets with their rooms,” said Tan.
Dinagyang tickets will also be sold at city hall and at the foundation’s office
On the other hand, IFFI reduced the number of judging areas from five to four – the Iloilo Freedom Grandstand, Solis-Iznart Street, Valeria-Ledesma Street and Ma. Clara Street.
The Solis-Iznart judging area, as usual practice, will be allotted to the Iloilo Provincial Government of for their guests.
In reducing the number of judging areas, IFFI considered the tribes’ concern wherein they find it exhausting if the judging areas are far from each other.
Tan said steel stages will be set up for safety spectators, but they will also use other materials like bamboo.IMT
