Western Visayas will have a new agriculture chief starting July 1, 2023.
Dennis Arpia, former regional executive director (RED) of the Department of Agriculture (DA-Zamboanga Peninsula), has been designated as RED of DA-6.
“All officials and employees of the department including its bureaus, attached agencies and corporations, and regional field offices are hereby advised of this designation and directed to give their fill support and cooperation to RED Arpia in the performance of his duties and responsibilities,” Special Order No. 693-2023 stated.
The order was signed by DA Senior Undersecretary Domingo Panganiban.
Arpia will replace officer-in-charge (OIC) RED Jose Albert Barrogo, who is set to serve as RED of operations of DA-6 next month.
He also held the positions of DA-SOCCKSARGEN OIC RED and DA-CALABARZON director for operations.IMT
