Police Colonel Paul Kenneth Lucas is the new head of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO).
Lucas, the outgoing chief of the Regional Comptrollership Division of the Police Regional Office (PRO-6), was installed as officer-in-charge (OIC) of IPPO on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
He replaced Colonel Roland Vilela, who will assume as Philippine police attaché to the United States.
Vilela was appointed as director of IPPO in September last year.
“I would still continue to serve. I’m just glad, I was given a chance to serve the people of Iloilo,” he said.
Police Brigadier General Rene Pamuspusan, Police Regional Office (PRO-6) director, said Lucas is among the nominees for the top post.
Also being considered to take over the post of Vilela are Police Colonel Pablito Asmod, chief of the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division.
The list of nominees will be submitted to the Iloilo Provincial Government. Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. will select the next IPPO director.IMT
