The Department of Health (DOH) on Thursday, Aug. 5, clarified that whether one is vaccinated or not against COVID-19 vaccination will not have a bearing in employment or getting cash aid in areas with community quarantines.
The agency likewise assured vaccination will continue even under enhanced community quarantine status, like in the National Capital Region from Aug. 6 to 20.
“Huwag po tayong maniwala sa fake news na ‘pag hindi nabakunahan walang ayuda o hindi papapasukin sa trabaho. Iwasan po nating magpakalat ng mga fake news gaya ng mga ito na nagdudulot ng kalituhan sa ating mga kababayan (Let’s not believe fake news that vaccination status is needed for employment or receiving cash aid from the government. Avoid spreading fake news as it brings confusion to our countrymen),” the DOH said in a statement.
What matters, according to the DOH, is the basic health protocols to prevent contracting or spreading Covid-19.
“Suotin ang face mask at face shield nang maayos, mag-physical distancing at magdala ng alcohol at sariling ballpen kapag tayo ay magpapabakuna nang ayon sa schedule (Wear face masks and face shields properly, observe physical distancing, bring alcohol and your own ballpen when going to your vaccination schedule),” the DOH said.
The DOH also urged local government units to implement registration to better manage vaccination sites and avoid inoculation activities from being super spreader events of the Delta variant.PNA
