Several people were killed after Typhoon Ursula (international name: Phanfone) struck Panay Island on Dec 25.
The typhoon hit land three times over the island on Christmas Day. It made landfall in Carles, Iloilo at 2:30 a.m.; Ibajay, Aklan at 8:40 a.m.; and on Caluya Island, Antique at 1 p.m.
The Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC-6) recorded 19 casualties as of Friday, Dec. 27.
Of the number, 13 were from Iloilo, 4 from Capiz, and 2 from Aklan.

Authorities are still looking for 8 missing people in Iloilo (6) and Capiz (2).
The provinces of Aklan and Capiz declared a state of Calamity on Thursday, Dec. 26.
The town of Pandan in Antique and the towns of Carles, Balasan and Batad were also placed under a state calamity.
A total of 5, 717 families or 21, 956 individuals were affected by Ursula.
Broken down, 3,743 families or 14,516 individuals were from Iloilo; 1,317 families or 3,956 individuals from Capiz; 498 families or 2,213 individuals from Antique; and 259 families or 1,272 individuals from Aklan.
A landslide incident was reported along a portion of the road in Barangay Aglimocon in the town of Maayon, Capiz going to Sara, Iloilo.
The same incident was reported in the same town at Sitio Tampayak in Barangay West Villaflores.
