Two Ilonggo cagers are set to reinforce the San Beda University Red Lions for NCAA Season 100 next year.

Ronrei Tolentino from Centro Escolar University Scorpions and Menard Songcuya from Far Eastern University Tamaraws, as reported by Tiebreaker Times have committed to play for the Red Lions.

At 6-foot-3, Tolentino is expected to bring his ace game, bringing his skills as a former member of the Western Visayas team that won a silver in the 2017 Palarong Pambansa. Because of his sterling performances, he was recruited first by the FEU Baby Tamaraws in UAAP juniors.

The Iloilo National High School former star jumped from one college to another at Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals, University of the East Red Warriors and the Scorpions. With the Scorpions last year, he averaged 9.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.7 steals in one of their tournaments.

Meanwhile, another tower will reunite to his Ilonggo bro as Songcuya also committed to play for the team. The former standout of Nazareth School of National University Bullpups made his way to the Tamaraws for UAAP Season 85 tournament.

The 6-foot-5 Songcuya already suited up for the Red Lions in a pre-season tournament where he averaged 3.6 points and 2.6 rebounds as off-the-bench big man.

Tolentino and Songcuya are the second and third Ilonggo transferees for the Red Lions after the team previously secured the commitment of former FEU guard John Bryan Sajonia.IMT Sports
