Authorities recovered more than P1 million worth of suspected shabu or crystal meth from a trisikad driver during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bakhaw, Mandurriao district, Iloilo City on Wednesday, Aug. 9.
Geovany Gozon, 32, was arrested after he sold a sachet of illegal drugs worth P12,000 to a poseur buyer.
Aside from the marked money, the suspect also yielded five big plastic sachets of illegal drugs weighing more or less150 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value of over P1,020,000.
Gozon, also known as Nognog, is considered as a high-value individual (HVI), according to the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU).
The detained suspect will face a formal complaint for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The operation was conducted by the Mandurriao police station and Iloilo City Police Office’s (ICPO) CDEU.IMT
