Tribu La Paz was named the grand champion of the Iloilo Dinagyang Digital 2022 Tribes Competition.
Choreographed by Errol Jave L. Villa, the tribe received a cash prize of P100,000 and a trophy during the Awarding Ceremony held at the Iloilo Convention Center.
Tribu La Paz also bagged the People’s Choice Award and the Best in Live Performance, Best in Filmed Performance, Best in Choreography, Best in Production Design, Best in Costume & Headdress awards.
Tribu Lapuz, choreographed by Gerlin G. Francisco, finished first runner-up.
Tribu Molo, choreographed by George M. Susvilla Jr., was named second runner-up. It also won the Best in Discipline award.
Tribu Jaro, choreographed by John E. Patriomnio, was third runner-up.
The seven tribes were judged based on their live (60%) and filmed (40%) performances.
The judges were Herbert Alvarez, Dr. Jesus Insilada, Chris Millado, Rudy Reveche, Lucky Jan Vicentino, Nick Deocampo, Shirley Halili-Cruz, Nes Jardin, Jeffrey Jeturian, and Marichu Tellano.
Each tribe had its own crew of Ilonggo filmmakers who captured the otherwise fleeting nature of a live presentation.IMT
