The Iloilo City Government will disallow unvaccinated persons from entering commercial centers and government offices in the metropolis.

“We will finalize our executive order that will prohibit the unvaccinated from entering the malls, movie houses, restaurants, government offices and the like,” Mayor Jerry Treñas said in a statement on Tuesday, Dec. 28.

The move is part of the city government’s drive to “ramp up vaccination and booster shots to give adequate protection to everyone.”

Meanwhile, Treñas reminded the public to strictly observe minimum health standards like wearing face masks, washing of hands, and maintaining physical distancing “in the gatherings leading to the new year.”

“We cannot be overly protective of ourselves and our loved ones during these times,” he said.IMT
