Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas will deliver his 2nd State of the City Address (SOCA) today, July 24.
The mayor’s SOCA will be streamed on social media site Facebook at 6 p.m.
“It has been a year since I assumed the office as the City Mayor. Now, it is time to look back and see how far we’ve gone,” Treñas said.
In a press conference on Thursday, July 23, the mayor said his SOCA will highlight the city government’s coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) response efforts.
“Ang aton community kitchens, Ilonggo Pandesal, Uswag Patrol Kitchen for our frontliners, kag ang test kits nga gin-amot sang aton businessmen.”
“Kag iban pa nga rason kon nga-a nangin resilient kita maskin nagapangatubang kita sa pandemya.”
Iloilo City is tagged as “The Wakanda of the Philippines” because of its successful response measures against COVID-19.IMT
