Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas is not among the personalities who have been invited to attend the second State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr.
In a report by radio station RMN-Iloilo, Treñas said he has not received an invitation to the SONA, which is set to take place on Monday next week, July 24.
The mayor is expecting that Marcos will mention the Uswag Low-Rise Residential Building, a P247-million socialized housing project in Barangay San Isidro, Jaro district.
The project, which will have 120 residential units, is consist of two twin four-storey low-rise buildings built on a 2,741-square meter lot owned by the city government.
Meanwhile, Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. is looking forward to hearing the expansion of the Iloilo International Airport’s Passenger Terminal and Iloilo-Capiz-Aklan Expressway (ICAEx), and the revival of the railyway system of Panay Island.
Defensor confirmed his attendance to the SONA at the Batasang Pambansa Complex in Quezon City.IMT
