Mayor Jerry Treñas is hoping that Iloilo City will revert to Alert Level 2 after February 15.

The number of COVID-19 cases in the city, which is currently under Alert Level 3, is “starting to go down,” according to Treñas.

But he noted that the city’s healthcare utilization rate (HCUR) is still at 66% and average daily attack rate (ADAR) remains high.

HCUR refers to the number of beds occupied in the COVID-19 unit at any given time.

ADAR, on the other hand, is the number of patients infected over the total population.

“Let us continue our vaccination and booster program so that more of our constituents are given protection,” said Treñas.

“Magbululigay kita para padayon nga magpanaog ang mga kaso diri sa atun syudad,” he added.

The city, based on the Feb. 3 bulletin issued by the Department of Health (DOH-6), has 29,927 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Of the number, 26,148 have recovered, 642 have died, and 3,127 are active cases.IMT
