Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas has firmly denied that he and his son Miguel met with Liza Araneta-Marcos, wife of presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. (BBM).
In an interview over radio station Bombo Radyo-Iloilo, Treñas claimed that his “opponents” were responsible for spreading the “false information”.
According to mayor, the move was meant to trick voters, taint his reputation, and destroy the name of his son who is running for councilor of the city.
“Tani matuon man sila para may plano man sila para sa syudad ta. Ang ila ubra, pangguba nga pangguba.Bag-o lang natapos ang Biyernes Santo.Pila ka adlaw ilansang na sila sa krus,” Treñas said.
The mayor stressed that he will stand behind presidential aspirant and incumbent Vice President Leni Robredo.IMT
