Returning residents to the province of Iloilo still need to secure negative RT-PCR test results for COVID-19 before being allowed entry.

According to lawyer Suzette Mamon, provincial administrator, the requirement of negative test results for all inbound travelers, including authorized persons outside residence (APORs), to the province “will continue to take effect” even after the lifting of the travel suspension.

“Airlines, shipping companies and concerned government agencies are enjoined to adhere thereto,” she said.

The two-week suspension of travel from the National Capital Region (NCR) Plus bubble, Cebu City and Davao City to Western Visayas ended on April 20.

“All inbound passengers are advised to coordinate with their respective LGU destination[s] for the travel requirements and health protocols being implemented prior to their departure,” an advisory stated.

The advisory was issued by the Regional Task Force (RTF).

The temporary travel ban was imposed as requested by the region’s chief executives to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus.IMT
