‘Tiyanak’, Iloilo City’s most wanted, falls

Joint elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) apprehended the most wanted person Iloilo City.

Jovel Jereso Lazaro alias “Tiyanak,” 31, of Barangay Tanza Timawa Zone II, City Proper was arrested under a warrant from a court on Saturday, Jan. 1, in Barangay Poblacion Norte, Sigma, Capiz.

The subject is accused of violating Section 5 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Lazaro is included in the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency’s (PDEA-6) Top 10 Priority Target List.

The arrest warrant was implemented by the Intelligence Unit/Drug Enforcement Unit of the Iloilo City Police Office, PDEA-6 Iloilo and Sigma Municipal Police Station.

Lazaro was not allowed to post bail. He is currently detained at the ICPO’s custodial facility.IMT
