The fire that hit a commercial area in the town of Tigbauan, Iloilo left damage estimated at P18 million, according to the Bureau of Fire Protrction (BFP).
Initial data from the BFP-Tigbuan showed that a total of 20 establishments were razed by the fire on Tuesday morning, June 7.
Three of the affected establishments in front of the town’s public market were totally damaged.
The fire, which was declared out at 12:14 p.m., reportedly started from a beauty salon and quickly spread to other establishments.
Investigators have yet to determine the cause of the fire.IMT
