A public secondary school teacher was nabbed in drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Villahermosa, Sara, Iloilo on Sunday morning, Sept. 24.
The suspect, considered by authorities as a high-value individual (HVI), was identified as John Basiao, 58.
Also arrested was Basiao’s 18-year-old student, Tam Arthur Manoag. He is a resident of Barangay Igbon, Concepcion.
The two yielded eight grams of suspected shabu or crystal meth with an estimated street value of P54,400.
The detained suspects will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.IMT
