Following a dominant game on the ground, Tamasak Football Club blanked Pike Braga Football Club, 2-0 to nab the Under 12 category of the Mayor Bryant Paul Q. Biron Football Festival title at the Barotac Nuevo Football Field.

Drystan Alexandrae Delgado-Torres drew first blood for the newly-titled squad before Luke Gabriel Derotas wrapped up the championship with a close-range shot.

Before grabbing the title, the team of Francisco De Asis struggled in the quarterfinals and the semifinals round after they were challenged by their respective opponents.

In the round-of-8, Tamasak FC prevailed over JCFC via penalty shootout before beating AgTuSo FC in the Final Four.

Aside from the two scorers, the champion team was comprised of Michael Anthony Guay, Steven Gabriel Bingcang, Jeur Mattheiu Derotas, RJ Naysay, Von Adrian Guevarra, Rich Wayne Berdejo and Nolico Buenavista.

Duplicating their victory, Tamasak team also snatched the 5-6 age category squad as they emerged champion. The team is coached by Mai Mai Martinez.

Other competing football clubs were Janiuay, Guimbal, Sta. Barbara, and La Paz district in Iloilo City.

Barangay Tubungan, Barangay Tabuc-Suba and Barangay Ilaud Poblacion settled for runners-up. Barangay Ilaya Poblacion was given the Fair Play award.

Individual awardees were Sherwin Basindahan as Most Valuable Player, Ronnie Panes Jr. as Best Goal Keeper, Abrielle Belgira as Best Defender, Martini Ray as Best Midfielder and Jan Bernard Delariarte as Best Striker.IMT Sports
