Volleybelles from Supang National High School made an amazing fight back as they walloped Buenavista National High School in the finals clash of the Guimaras Municipal Meet girls’ volleyball, 25-23, 25-18, 25-9, at the latter’s home court, Sept. 15.
The Lady Generals snatched the gold medal and will represent Buenavista town in the provincial meet slated later this year.
Providing the sparks for the winning squad, team captain Precious Lala Tongol and teammates Anne Gabrielle Gabinete, Nina Beatrice Maluto, Rica Mae Cosio, and Charmaine Love Talamera paced the team with solid attacks and monstrous blocks.
The Jiggy Gallo kids also showed good rotation and powerful roofs, courtesy of setter Lovely Jane Gabayeron and libero Raiza Mae Cordero.
The winning team is comprised of Kieralyn Caballero, Khrystale Jhayde Gagante, Jireh Felomie Cogay, Myrene Zamora, Jhunaise Marie Diamante, and Catherine Jones Hecustan.IMT
