The latest case of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Western Visayas involves a locally stranded individual (LSI) from the town of Anilao in Iloilo province.
WV Patient No.115 is a 39-year-old male, the June 2, 2020 COVID-19 Bulletin showed.
The patient was among the LSIs who arrived in Iloilo on May 28 from Manila.
“From Spain ini sya kag nag-abot sya sa Iloilo prior to the lockdown. Nakahingabot pa sya balik sa Manila to process his papers for possible return to Spain pero naabutan na sya lockdown didto,” Dr. Jessie Glenn Alonsabe, DOH-6 regional epidemiologist, the patient’s said in a virtual press conference.
“Nakatinir sya didto sa Manila kag nakaupod sya pauli sa mga LSIs naton,” he added
The patient, according to Alonsabe, is currently staying at a quarantine facility in Anilao.
Meanwhile, the health department recorded three new COVID-19 survivors. The newly recovered patients are:
▪ 32-year-old male from Roxas City Capiz
▪ 32-year-old male from Pandan, Antique
▪ 32-year-old female from Pandan, Antique
▪ 32-year-old male from Pandan, Antique
▪ 32-year-old female from Pandan, Antique
Western Visayas now has a total of 81 recoveries.
