St. Paul’s Hospital Iloilo reaches full capacity for COVID-19 patients

A hospital in Iloilo City will no longer accept coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients as it has reached full capacity.

In its official statement released yesterday, Aug. 19, St. Paul’s Hospital in City Proper “requested” those who experience symptoms of COVID-19 to proceed to other hospitals for their “care and management.”

“We continue to accomodate non-COVID cases, both admitted and out-patients An advisory will shall be released as soon as we are able to admit COVID patients again,” it said.

Iloilo City has the most number of COVID-19 cases in Western Visayas. As of Aug. 19, the city logged 608 infections. 

The figure includes 113 recoveries, 13 deaths, and 482 active cases.IMT
