Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas has warned the public against unscrupulous individuals who are using his name to solicit financial assistance.
In a statetment on Saturday, July 8, Treñas clarified that he has not authorized any person or group to conduct solicitation activities.
“It has come to my attention that there have been individuals going around the city and provincial offices asking for solicitations supposedly with my approval,” he said.
“This is strictly prohibited in the Iloilo City Government. Let us all be vigilant against these schemes,” the mayor stressed.IMT
