Aside from exhibition games between the University of the Philippines and San Beda University at the City of Passi Arena and University of San Agustin gym, a slum dunk contest will also thrill the Ilonggo fans.
Filipino ‘dunk king’ David Carlos will compete in slam dunk competitions as part of the exhibition games on March 14 and 15.
He will be challenged by Ilonggo Sherwin Diama and Manila’s Darwin Cantong. The winner will receive cash prizes courtesy of Toto Tia Ten Trucking.
Meanwhile, St. John’s Institute (SJI) ruled the Antique leg of the MDC Sports Inc. 3×3 League at the Binirayan Sports Complex in San Jose de Buenavista.
Simon Limsiaco, Lance Soberano, Christopher Thomas Ong, and Luke Kumar won the 10-and-Under division; while Tabby Aldwyn Espartero, Ryton Celis, Carlos Miguel Reonal, and Aethan Yap won the 12-and-Under division for SJI.
The winners advance to the national finals, at the Marikina Sports Complex on May 11, 2020.IMT
