There will be no classes in all levels in Iloilo City on Monday, Sept. 30, due to the nationwide transport strike.
Mayor Jerry P. Treñas issued on Thursday, Sept. 26, an executive order declaring the class suspension, which covers both public and private schools in the city.
Treñas, in his EO, said the transport strike would “paralyze and cause inconvenience on the part of commuters, especially students, school faculty and staff including parents and guardians.”
“The suspension of classes seeks to minimize the inconvenience to the riding public, especially the students.
