A senior citizen was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Zone 6, Barangay Buhang, Jaro district, Iloilo City on Monday, March 27.
Authorities seized 1,200 grams of shabu worth more than P8 million from the possession of Estrelita Bueno, 68, of Novaliches, Quezon City.
Bueno sold a plastic bag of shabu worth P72 thousand to an undercover agent.
The drug dealer is considered a “high value individual” and a “regional priority target,” according to Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU).
Bueno’s companion — Noe llagas Jr., 27 anyos of Barangay Ungka, Jaro — was also apprehended.
The two are currently detained and will face charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The operation was conducted by the joint forces of RPDEU-6, City Drug Enforcement Unit, Philippine National Police (PNP) Intelligence Group and the Aklan Police Provincial Office’s 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company.IMT
