The mayor of San Dionisio town in Iloilo province passed away early Monday morning, Sept. 28.
Larry Villanueva, 55, succumbed to liver cancer, according to a report by radio sation RMN-Iloilo.
The mayor was declared dead around 2 a.m at Iloilo Mission Hospital in Iloilo City.
Villanueva’s swab test for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) yielded negative result.
Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. and vice governor vice Governor Christine Garin, among others, sent their condolences to the family of Villanueva.IMT
