Vice President Leni Robredo emerged as the top choice of Ilonggos to succeed President Rodrigo Duterte, according to a survey conducted by Random Access Consultants, Inc. (RACI).

The lone woman presidential candidate in the 2022 elections garnered majority or 53.5% of votes of 600 Iloilo City residents.

Ferdinand Marcos Jr. came in second with 29%, followed by Senator Manny Pacquiao with 7.3%, and Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno with 6.7%.

Meanwhile, Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, Robredo’s running mate, topped the list of vice presidential aspirants for next year’s elections with a tally of 36.3%.

Senate President Tito Sotto occupied the second spot with 32.3%; followed by Sara Duterte with 22% and Dr. Willie Ong with 5.7%.

The survey was conducted in 60 out of the city’s 180 barangays from Dec. 4 to 5.

RACI used ±4 percent error margin at the 95 percent confidence level.IMT
