Former vice president and now Angat Buhay Foundation chairperson Leni Robredo returned to Iloilo to thank her supporters and volunteers.

Robredo arrived on Thursday, July 14, and paid a courtesy visit on Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. and Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas.

“After the elections, ang Iloilo talaga ang number one na gusto kong puntahan,” she said.

Robredo dominated the 2022 presidential race in Iloilo with nearly nine million votes. She was endorsed by Defensor and Treñas.

“Ako gusto ko magpasalamat. I know that the election was very difficult. From the start of the campaign we already know that but Iloilo has shown na talagang ‘pag kayo nagdesisyon talagang you will fight for what you think is right kahit mahirap lumalaban talaga kayo and I really appreciate it,” she said.

“Sobrang salamat…’Yung pinaka challenge ko lng siguro for everyone na ‘wag natin isipin na natapos yung ating pinaglalaban during the elections kasi whether nanalo tayo or natalo tayo, ang dami nating pwedeng gawin,” Robredo further said.

On Friday, June 15, the former vice president met with various groups who are willing to work with Angat Buhay.

“I’m so looking forward that this is the first time I’m back after the elections, I meeting different groups. I am excited for what is to come, sa tingin ko maraming marami pwedeng gawin dito sa probinsya niyo, Robredo said.IMT
