Resto-bar in Iloilo City faces closure for failing to enforce COVID-19 protocols

The Iloilo City Government’s Compliance Monitoring Team has recommended the closure of a resto-bar in Smallville Complex, Mandurriao.

Lanai Grill and Sports Bar failed to enforce the minimum public health standards like physical distancing and wearing of facemasks, according to Mayor Jerry Treñas.

“The city government is determined to ensure that the minimum public health standards are continually observed. Action will be taken therein,” he said.

The entire city is currently under Alert Level 2. It has 126 active cases of COVID-19, based on the Nov. 28 bulletin issued by the Department of Health (DOH-6).

Resto-bars and other alcohol-serving establishments in the city have been allowed to reopen provided they ensure that health protocols are strictly followed by their costumers.IMT
