The repair of the Monfort Bridge in the town of Dingle, lloilo is almost 60 percent complete, according to the project’s private contractor.

The 60-million project, which was started in September last year, is being undertaken by A.D. Pendon Construction.

In a letter dated May 7, project engineer Fritz Overlin Desierto reported a 59.93 percent actual accomplishment.

It was 22.50 percent behind their target completion date. The project was supposed to be done last April 20.

The letter was addressed to engineer Allan Rey Pajimna of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Iloilo 2nd District Engineering Office.

The bridge, connecting the villages of Camambugan and Poblacion, collapsed at the height of Typhoon in April 2022.IMT
