Reelected Iloilo Representative Raul “Boboy” Tupas has vowed to pour more projects in the province’s Fifth District.

The second-termer congressman took his oath of office before Punong Barangay Ranie “Tata” Balista of Posadas, Sara last Saturday, June 25.

Tupas is eyeing to construct a general hospital and an airport in his district.

“Kinahanglan naton sang fully-equipped nga general hospital since limitado lang ang ikasarang sang district hospital naton diri,” the lawmaker said.

“Gusto ta man mag-umwad ang aton turismo that’s why we need an airport para hapos ang pagkadto sang mga turista,” he added.

To recall, Tupas authored a law establishing a multi-species marine hatchery in Northern Iloilo State University (NISU-Batad Campus).

This, according to the congressman, will bring income-generating activities and employment opportunities in northern Iloilo.

Meanwhile, Tupas was accompanied by his wife, newly elected Board Member Binky Tupas, during the oath-taking ceremony at the covered gym of Balasan.

The event was attended by mayors and other officials in the Fifth District.IMT
