Aside from building a 5,000-seater convention center, the Capiz Provincial Government is also eyeing to transfer the capitol building to other barangay in Roxas City.

This was announced by Provincial Administrator Edwin Monares during a Christmas party intended for the local tri-media held recently at the Governor’s Mansion in Barangay Lanot, Roxas City.

The transfer of the capitol building, according to Monares, is one of Governor Esteban “Nonoy” Bacero Contreras’ political agenda.

The present capitol building, which was built it 1901, has no parking space for its clientele and only elected provincial officials and department heads have designated parking space of their own cars.

Meanwhile, Contreras assured that more projects will implemented during his administration.IMT
