The Passi City Government will not postpone the staging of its Pintados de Pasi Festival in March this year.
Mayor Stephen A. Palmares said they decided not to put on hold the celebration of the festival after a series consultation with with various stakeholders.
“After thorough consultations with our City Health Office, Pintados 2000 Incorporated, and other stakeholders, I am informing everyone that we will not postpone the celebration of Pintados de Pasi.”
Palmares vowed that measures will be implemented to protect the public against the novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Pintados de Pasi is an annual celebration in Passi City. It is held every third week of March.
The festival’s highlight is the tribe competition “wherein warriors are painted with henna tattoos with intricate designs and patterns.”
Other activities lined up for the festival are BB.Pintados, Ginoong Pintados, Karosa Parada, and Sinadya sa Suba, Duathlon, Motocross, Inktados (Tatoo Contest), Car Show, and Photo Exhibit, among others.IMT
