Iloilo City’s Dinagyang Festival is joining the Aliwan Fiesta in Pasay City this month.
Dinagyang will be represented by Tribu Parianon, the champion of the 2023 Dagyang sa Barangay competition.
Aliwan’s streetdance competition is set to be held in front of the Aliw Theater at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) complex on July 15.
“I am very proud of our delegates and contestants as they represent the city for this year’s Aliwan Fiesta!” Mayor Jerry Treñas said in a statement.
“Todo supporta guid ang Iloilo City Government sa aton delegates as they venture this biggest festival competition in the Philippines,” he added.
On Tuesday, July 4, the city government will hold a send-off ceremony for Tribu Parianon
Aliwan Fiesta is an annual event that gathers festive traditions from the different regions in the country.IMT
