The proposed sea-crossing bridges that will connect the islands of Panay, Guimaras, and Negros was green lighted by the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Board yesterday, Jan. 29.
The P189.53-billion project involves the construction of a 32.47-kilometer, four-lane, two bridges.
It was among the eight projects that earned the “final approval” of the Board chaired by President Rodrigo Duterte.
The Panay-Guimaras-Negros Bridges project will be implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
The project aims to “provide a safer, faster, and more convenient flow of people, goods and services between the three islands,” NEDA said.IMT
