Malacañang has declared August 25, Friday, a special non-working day in Iloilo City for the celebration of its 86th Charter Anniversary.
“It is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Iloilo be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration,” Proclamation No. 306 stated.
The proclamation was signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on Monday, July 31, “by authority of President Bongbong Marcos.
City Mayor Jerry Treñas shared a copy of the proclamation on his Facebook page on Tuesday, August 1.
“On this momentous occasion, we will reflect on our city’s rich history, growth, and achievements,” he said.IMT
