The 42-year-old senator still has a major decision to make regarding his political plans, especially amid growing speculations that he’ll be running as president in the next year’s national elections. Pacquiao said he’ll be announcing his career plans by next month after consulting with his wife Jinkee, family, close friends and allies.
On the other hand, Ugas shared he would be willing to offer the eight-division world champion a rematch he needed.
“Two hundred percent. You know Manny is a great legend, a great fighter. If he wants a rematch, no question about it. A legend like that deserves it,” said the reigning WBA champion from Cuba.
Meanwhile, Ugas with 27-4-0, 12 KOs record, wants to fight Errol Spence Jr. who has an impressive 27-0-0, 21 KOs card. To recall, Spence had to withdraw from the fight with Pacquiao due to a torn retina which he has since undergone surgery for.
According to Pacquiao’s promoter, Sean Gibbons of MP Promotions, Spence still has a chance of facing off against the former in the near future.
Spence also vows to be back in the ring after his recovery and wants to fight Ugas. But as of the moment, there is no final agreement whether it would be a rematch between Pacquiao or Ugas, a new fight between Ugas and Spence, or a Pacquiao and Spence bout.IMT
