Thousands of families in the province of Iloilo were affected by massive flooding and landslides caused by Tropical Depression Agaton.
The weather disturbance displaced a total of 65,846 families or 238,475 thousand persons in 21 towns and one component city.
Most of the affected families were from Ajuy with 17,335 or 59,942 persons; followed by Balasan with 10,863 families or 38,007 persons; and Lemery with 9,630 families or 32,809 persons.
The figures were based in data released by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12.
The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) had already sent food packs to the affected towns.IMT
