Oton posts highest active COVID-19 cases in Iloilo

The town of Oton accounted for the highest number of active coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in the province of Iloilo.

Based on data from the Provincial Health Office (PHO), Oton recorded 111 active cases or patients who are still infected with SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.

Pavia posted the second highest cases with 90, followed by Guimbal, 73; Maasin, 66, Santa Barbara, 61; Concepcion, 54; Barotac Nuevo, 48; Sara, 38; Calinog, 37, Cabatuan, 34; Igbaras, 33; Estancia and Dumangas, 32 each; Pototan, 28; Leganes, 27; and Alimodian, Passi City and Miagao, 25 each.

Only Bingawan has zero active cases. All its 36 cases have recovered from COVID-19.

The towns with less than 10 active cases are Lemery (9), Tubungan (8), Dingle (6), Duenas (5), San Enrique (5), Mina (4), San Rafael (4), and Barotac Viejo (3).
