With the PBA expected to return on the hard court, Ilonggo Clint Doliguez is “excited” to show off his skills as a Rain or Shine Elasto Painters member.

The native of Oton, Iloilo will make his debut with the aim to offer his craft in a bigger basketball tournament.

During his interview, Doliguez expressed his excitement as he can’t wait to play with his idols.

“Cant wait to play with my idol Gabe Norwood and former San Beda University Red Lions teammate Jayvee Mocon. I’m happy because we will be teammates again (referring to Mocon),” he said.

The former star of Hua Siong College of Iloilo Red Phoenix was one of the four rookies signed up by the Painters during the offseason. Ateneo Blue Eagles stars Adrian Wong and Vince Tolentino and former De La Salle University Green Archer Prince Rivero will also reinforce the team.

“Kung excited lang, sobrang excited ako. For me to be able to compete with my idols, iba ang pakiramdam pagnakakalaro na sila. ‘Di pa ako nakakalaro ng official game dahil nga sa pandemic, sayang kasi after ng opening naglockdown so na apektuhan yung schedule. Pero ngayon looking forward nako bumalik sa PBA,” Doliguez shared to IMT NEWS.

“Di ko sure ano talaga matutulong ko sa team, they are all good individuals. They can all provide, but for me as a rookie siguro ang maitutulong ko sa team is to let them know na I’m ready. Siguro yung pag deliver everytime na bubunutin ako ni coach from the bench,” he added.

PBA commissioner Willie Marcial is looking to resume the Philippine Cup this October. The matches were scheduled earlier, but the participating teams’ return to practice was halted after Metro Manila reverted to modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) due to COVID19.IMT
