There is only one town in the province of Iloilo that has not recorded a single case of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

San Rafael, which belongs to the province’s Fifth District, remains free from the highly contagious respiratory disease, according to the Department of Health (DOH-6).

“Sa aton pakig-angot sa Iloilo Provincial Health Office, ang banwa nalang sang San Rafael ang wala kaso sang COVID-19,” said Dr. Jessie Glen Alonsabe, regional epidemiologist.

The province has 42 towns and one component city.

As of August 9, Iloilo recorded 119 indigenous or local cases of COVID-19. The figure includes 75 recoveries, 8 deaths, and 36 active cases.

The province also logged 347 cases involving returning overeas Filipinos (ROFs) and locally stranded individuals (LSIs).IMT
