There are no more suspected cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Western Visayas.
Dr. Marlyn Convocar, director of the Department of Health (DOH-6), said all the 33 patients under investigation (PUIs) tested negative for the deadly virus.
The 33 were already discharged from hospitals in the region.
Convocar said they would continue to monitor the discharged patients in their homes.
The province of Aklan had the most number PUIs in the region with 9, followed by Iloilo province, 8; Negros Occidental, 5; Bacolod City, 4; Iloilo City, 3; Capiz, 2; Antique, 2.
The health department said PUIs are “those who have fever or respiratory infection and travel history to China within the last fourteen days or history of exposure to confirmed COVID-19 cases.”IMT
