There is no local transmission of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Western Visayas, according to the Department of Health (DOH-6).
Dr. Mary Jane Juanico, head of the infectious Disease Unit of the DOH-6, said all cases in the region are “imported.”
Local transmission is defined as “the transfer of the virus that causes the disease in a local geographical setting.”

Juanico said contact tracing for the four positive cases is ongoing.
