The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) has a new director.
Police Colonel Eric Dampal, 54, was officially installed in the post on Thursday, Feb. 20, at Camp Achilles Plagata, City Proper.
The former director of the Compostela Valley Police Provincial Office replaced Police Colonel Martin Defensor.
Defensor was promoted as Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 chief of staff.
Dampal, a native of Bukidnon, was also previously assigned at the Police Regional Office in Davao Region.
He graduated from the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) in 1992.
Dampal said he would focus on internal cleansing and eliminating illegal drugs and illegal gambling in the city.IMT
