The basketball teams from Bacolod City, Negros Occidental delivered the killer blows down the stretch as they captured titles in the 1st Phenom Elite 3×3 Basketball tournament at the Phenom Elite Training Center.
Comprised of Kyan Andrada, Bejee de Ocampo, Austin Laureño and Lance Benitez, Team BLAK was hailed champions in the 18-and-under category after defeating TJ7 Ballclub in the finals,12-8.
Jaguars Team of July Laniohan, Marco Ugdiman, Rowel Negro and Joshua Jumua, also snatched the 16-and-under crown at the expense of MF Computer Solutions in the finals, 17-15.
Julio Lorenzo Teruel, Berne Jereza, Giovanni Semillano and GM Gonzales, on the other hand, bagged the 14-and-under championship with a 12-8 drubbing over TJ7 Ballclub.
Anton Rojas, Tristan Valencia, Santino Loretizo and Miggy Sy, representing St. John’s Institute ruled the 12-and-under category after surviving University of St. La Salle, 9-8.
The winning teams took home P15,000 each, while runners-up bagged P10,000 and P8,000, respectively. The one day basketball bonanza was participated in by 32 teams. IMT
