The province and city of Iloilo will remain under modified enhanced community quarantine (MGCQ) until June 30, 2020.

The extension of MGCQ in Iloilo was announced by Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque past midnight on Tuesday, June 16.

MGCQ is the lowest and most relaxed form of the community quarantine.

Iloilo’s quarantine status was downgraded to MGCQ from GCQ on June 1.

The rest of Western Visayas will also stay under MGCQ until the end of the month.

Roque said the decision was approved by President Rodrigo Duterte.

The region currently has 147 confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), including 101 recoveries and 11 deaths.

Of the total cases, 35 are considered active, DOH data showed.IMT
