Megaworld has unveiled Christmas attractions inside its 72-hectare township in Mandurriao district, Iloilo City.

The celebration of the Christmas season at Iloilo Business Park (IBP) kicked off with the lighting of a giant Christmas Tree at Festive Walk Mall Garden Atrium.

The lighting ceremony on Friday, Nov. 8, was led by Councilor Jay Trenas, IPB vice president for sales and marketing Jennifer Palmares-Fong, Festive Walk Iloilo general manager Buford Tan, and lawyer Helen J. Catalbas, Department of Tourism (DOT-6) director.

The dazzling Christmas Tree, which stands 40 feet, is decked out with different pieces of green, red and gold decors complimented by glittering lights.

The property giant also launched its “Enchanted Forest of Lights”, a collection of giant lighted installations scattered in various parts of IBP.

It is composed of huge LED-lighted displays that reach as high as 15 feet. These include larger-than-life replicas of squirrels, dogs, bears, and giraffes, dolphins and octopus, among others.

Fong is expecting that the photo op-worthy attractions will draw more visitors in the township.

“Christmas is all about savoring moments and creating new memories with your loved ones. With our dazzling displays, attractions and events, we invite everyone to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year here at Iloilo Business Park,” she said.

The event was made more spectacular with aerial tricks, acrobatics, and graceful ballet performances.

The Kinaadman Chorale serenaded the audience with classic Yuletide carols.

More than 40 kids from families belonging to an Ati community in Barangay Lanit, Jaro district gifts from Santa Claus.

The event was capped by a fireworks display.IMT
